Presented by ASAP, these awards celebrate the professionals, peers, programs, and partners shaping the future of behavioral health services across our state.

About the awards
The Lone Star Awards were created to recognize outstanding contributions to Texas behavioral health and recovery systems. Through these awards, ASAP seeks to elevate innovative leadership, strengthen cross-system collaboration, and celebrate individuals and organizations making meaningful impacts in communities across Texas.

Criteria
Candidates for the Lone Star Award should possess demonstrable success as an advocate, leader, organizer or innovator. Their endeavors may reach into public policy and government, science and research, public awareness and education, financial support or fundraising, organizational development or adoption of best practices. There are no requirements regarding the nature of the nominee’s contribution, only that the contribution reflects effective and sustained leadership and a steadfast commitment to advancing the continuum of substance use disorder services locally or statewide.

Nomination process
To nominate an individual, representative of government, organization or front line staff member for the Lone Star Award, please submit a nomination form describing the nominee’s qualifications. Nominations will open soon.
