About the Association

The Association of Substance Abuse Programs (ASAP) is a statewide organization that provides coordinated leadership to ensure Texans have access to a full spectrum of substance use disorder services. ASAP represents over 60 organizations that provide prevention, treatment and recovery services across the state. To fulfill the goal of ensuring access to a quality continuum of services ASAP interacts regularly with state agencies to develop regulations that are conductive to conducting business in Texas and advocates at the state and national levels for favorable public policies and funding opportunities. ASAP also serves as a conduit a for timely information, networking and support for provider leadership and senior staff. 

Becoming a Member

The mission of the Association is to improve the scope, quality and availability of substance abuse prevention and treatment for Texans and to ensure provider perspectives are represented. Now more than ever there is a need for substance abuse service providers to unite in support of constructive drug and alcohol public policy and regulation. It is through unity, pooled resources and information exchange that we can build strength within the industry and help direct the future of drug and alcohol service delivery.

ASAP Wage & Benefit Survey Results

ASAP sponsored the first of its kind statewide wage and benefit survey for Texas substance use disorder service providers and is pleased to announce the results are now available for purchase. The survey was conducted by Werling & Associates and includes a thorough analysis of job-specific compensation data and benefits. These components provide agencies with the tools necessary to make reliable and equitable financial decisions. For this inaugural survey, agencies who participated received a free copy of the results. The general public can purchase a copy of the survey results at ASAP member & non-member fees
